The glorious mud be-splattered Larmer Tree festival was work however, my colleague Anna Farthing and I shared some great Chocolate Stories with those generous and very game festival folk - all part of our development of The Chocolate Plant which is coming along nicely but for more details on that please visit the dedicated blog.
Back home and having spent several hours in the bath washing mud and spiders from everything I own I am kicking off this week with New Blood, Bare Bones at the wonderful Exeter Bike Shed Theatre. Several weeks ago I was lucky enough to have my play selected as one of four winners of their short play competition and this week these little political playlets are being unleashed on the general public. Well as my teacher boyfriend giddily dances round the flat belting out Alice Cooper's 'School's Out For Summer' I shall be seeing in the summer in my official role as Launch Artist for the Summer Reading Challenge, hosting a series of storytelling shadow puppetting workshops for primary school age children across Bristol. Can't wait to see what stories pour forth from those young brains...
